Broke the IR sensor socket

I was attempting to fix my cd drive, but when trying to disconnect the ir sensors ribbon cable I believe I ended up breaking off the socket from the board. I can resoder a new socket, but I don't know what it's called or instructions of specifics of any special instructions.

If you look at section 17 in the link below you see the ir cable and the socket I'm referring to.

So 1.) is it really that important?

2.) what is the socket called?

3.) is it easy to get my hands on one.

This is an answer to a very old question and this is only for completion sake. Just in case somebody wants to spend some time in repairing their board instead of purchasing a replacement for minimum money. For its 7th year anniversary, the answer is that the connector is a Fujikura (DDK in the past) FF18-6A-R11AD-B-3H Still available at multiple places online. Again, answered just for completion sake instead of archiving the question.
