Why isn't my iPod screen reading my finger?

A few months ago I dropped my iPod on concrete and the screen cracked severely in the top left corner. Since then it has been working fine until I dropped it again on the concrete yesterday. It doesn't respond to my finger most of the time. It switches on and turns off and everything, but basically 3/4 of the screen will not let me type, scroll and tap on the thing that I want to use/go on.

Thanks for the help:)

Hi Karen,

It seems that the digitizer got (finally) damaged right where it is not working any more (you were lucky that the iPod/digitizer was working for so long even after the first drop).

I suggest replacing the LCD/Digitizer (comes as a unit) and using the guide here on ifixit.com.

I hope this helps.

Steffen
