When I plug it in, get apple logo and sad face

The iPod won't turn on, when I plug it in, it says the battery is extremely low then after a while it comes on but only goes to the apple logo, then to the sad mac then back to the apple logo then to the extremely low screen etc.

I was told by the folks at the apple store that it was a bad HD because I ran with it. I replaced the HD and the battery but I still have the same problem.

I was apple to sync it once before I replaced everything. It worked, but the next day, it said the battery was extremely low. I let it charge overnight, no change

Is it time for a new logic board? I replaced everything else.

When I plug the iPdod into my computer the apple logo comes up and stays up. I can't go into disk mode, but it will reset if I hold down the menu and select buttons.
