iPhone 4s battery replacement problems.

Here are the problems I have after replacing the battery.

1) only works while plugged in (says 100%)

2) only says searching for network

3) can't connect to wifi at all

4) it skips around while manually trying to set date

5) after a while of non-use it shuts back off

While I know it could just be a faulty battery, I've tried taking it apart, and reassembling it.

Is there something else I can do before buying a new battery??

Thanks!!!

1) sounds like a typical faulty battery problem and could be fixed with another battery.

2) have you set the date and time correctly and then do a hard reset (Power + homebutton), and watch if you have the small black thing wich is located on the top screw of the battery.

3) this is very strange after a battery replacement, look if you didn't accidently disconnected the wifi antenna or any other cables.

4) how do you mean?

5) same as 1, I think a faulty battery.

The problem can also be that the battery connector is loose on the mainboard, so check for that aswell.

Let me know if you find anything!

Only problem is when I try to set the time and date manually, it skips and immediately goes back to where it started So I can't ever change it...it's really frustrating!! :/

But another battery as the one you have is faulty

Get time and date correct and you will have service .. Sorted!!!
