Auto Brightness doesn't work after replacing the screen.

I bought the Screen with everything included. I followed the guide to the letter. Today I noticed that the auto brightness feature doesn't work anymore. I can adjust the brightness manually but not automatically. The front camera works, and I know the sensor works because when I am on a call the screen turns off when close to my ear. Did I do anything wrong during installation or is my replacement part faulty?

Hi Giancarlo,

You need to disconnect then re-seat the screen assembly.

If this doesn't help, you need to get a new complete front camera flex cable (or even much better: get the one from your old screen), and install it using this guide.

If the above doesn't help, let us know, to explore other causes such as problems with or damage to the logic board during previous manipulation.

Hi, and thanks to all of you. I switched the cable from my old screen and now the new screen works perfectly. Problem solved.

No the sensor does not work. Proximity and ALS are two separate sensors.

You either tore the flex cable, damaged the logic board or didn't connect the connector well.

Ok so in your opinion what do I need to do now to fix it? Get another screen?
