Can't log in to anything after replacing battery

I have just gone through the battery replacement process on my Galaxy Note 10.0 and all seemed to go successfully. After completing the reassembly and powering the device it appeared as though everything went OK. But...now it will not log on to anything that requires a password. Facebook, my Youtube account, my email. The internet works but slowly and I can load pages like Break.com but they are also very slow. Any Ideas on what could have happened during the battery replacement process to cause this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

When you say that it will not log into anything that requires a password, what exactly is happening? The forms do not complete, the site does not connect, it does not accept your passwords and says invalid, or other?

How is your wifi signal since the repair? Has it gotten any weaker? Taking a long time to connect? There is always the slight possibility of damage occurring to the wifi chip from heat but considering there are no adhesives holding down the battery it does not sound to be the issue.

The site does not connect. The message is typically something along the line of " There was a problem connecting to the site....". It is only on sites like Facebook, Youtube, Weatherbug....where I have a registered logon. Can removing the battery corrupt the apps somehow? Does the device have some sort of key to the original battery? I was going to try re-installing the original battery tonight.

I would lean towards no, that your apps are not corrupted. I have seen incorrect/dying/damaged batteries cause phones and other devices to act wonky, crash and other strange issues. Let me know if the swap back to the original actually changes anything, would be pretty interesting. It wouldn't be a key or pairing issue though, it would be a defective and possibly possessed battery.

I re-installed the original battery and found what appears to be the problem in the process. The battery has 5 leads coming off from it and two of them were either broken off or never accurately soldered on. Since I am meticulously careful when it comes to things like this I find it highly unlikely that I busted them off in some way but, none the less, there they are.

It did seem to corrupt something inside the system because it still didn't work correctly with the original battery back in. I did a complete system reset and re-installed all of my apps and now it is functioning normally. I got what I paid for. Cheap battery/components = inevitable problem.

Thanks for the speedy response to this post.

I am glad to hear that you have resolved your problem. I am going to add this to my list of anecdotes on how cheap/bad batteries can cause all sorts of random, odd issues. You are definitely right, you get what you pay for in this field, whether it is a customer going to a cheaper shop because they have unskilled technicians or they use low-quality, copy grade parts.
