Why is my iPhone 5 screen not responding like I want it to?

Sometimes when I try to slide from the home page to the next page on the home screen only the top half doesn't work too well, it often want to do the total opposite and goes crazy but the bottom of the home screen works great—no problems sliding to the next page

Was it a new screen that was installed??

Did it start doing this after a fall???

But more info please or you will get answers as vague as you question

Yes the screen started acting like this since the first time I changed its screen and I actually found the phone as it was and I tried to do the repairs myself

You probably have connector damage--either mechanical damage to the connector or oxidation from some prior water damage event. show us a picture of your board---remove the black sticker that surrounds all the connectors

Try reconnecting the ribbon cables, espacially the touch screen one.

Otherwise I think the cable or the screen might be damaged.
