Espresso Steamer leak repair on Gaggia Classic

The milk steamer leaks when machine is on.

See Item on the right:

It has a tiny washer inside it. I replaced that washer to stop the steamer leaking water and steam at the screw on the join at the washer in the image.

What else could be causing the leak?

I note one part of this Steamer is brass the other chromed material... heating and expanding at different rates?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The steam valve ("tap") in this machine is a single piece assembly which has a brass-on-brass seal; it can not be disassembled and once it starts to leak the entire valve must be replaced.

Hi, Take the complete tap house out of the machine, take the tap apart and descale the housing and the parts you find in the tap. In the tap body; check if the seat of the washer is not damaged. crease it and put it back together. You can get machine descaler in the shop (not machine cleaner, but descaler) good luck.
