Will the 160GB Classic THICK battery work with my 80GB classic?

I currently have an 80GB iPod Classic 6th Generation (THICK). All batteries found for this device are the THIN version. My question is, will the THIN battery work with this iPod or would I be okay with using the 160GB THICK battery for the iPod Classic? iPod Classic (Thick) Replacement Battery
