mic doesn't work on phone calls but works otherwise

It looks like I need to replace a mic on my iPhone 4s, but it looks like there are 2 mics, and I want to buy and replace the correct part.

I cannot be heard on phone calls unless I use the speaker phone. The mic works for other apps. I need to know which part to replace, and I'm looking for a good video on replacing that part.

Thank you!

You need to replace the whole charging port assembly with the flex cable, it includes the lower mic, and connector for the home button flex cable. You need to remove and carefully transfer the cover of the old mic to the new one. Here is the iFixit Guide. iPhone 4S Dock Connector Replacement

You will need to replace the dock connector where the bottom microphone is located. The top microphone is used for noise cancelling and speakerphone, as well as face time. However, you say that the mic works for other apps, does this include voice memo? That should use the bottom microphone also, so give recording a memo a try.

Same problem! Mic works with, for example, facebook or whatsapp calls and voice memos, but not when dial or receive calls! Any solutions?
