After installing SSD and HDD CPU fan min and max speeds 3600

Hi,

I have replaced my original 1 TB HDD with a Sandisk 240 GB SSD and replaced the ODD with a 750 GB 7200 RPM WD drive.

This setup works great and is very fast.

I noticed that the CPU fan was making a lot more noise.

Installing Macs Fan control (http://www.crystalidea.com/macs-fan-cont...) gave me insight in the temperatures and fan speeds.

However I see one problem. The ODD fan runs at full speed in Auto mode. Also the CPU fans shows the same min and max RPM values of 3600, which is the maximum...

When changing the ODD to Ambient, the CPU fan also goes down.

I already tried resetting the SMC and P(NV)RAM.

Also I attached three screenshots.

1. All on auto

2. ODD on ambient

3. The message about min and max speeds

Any ideas on how to get all working fine in auto mode?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you forgot to put back on the HD thermal sensor on the HD or you plugged in the wrong sensor into the ODD connector.
