have only got black screen

When I plug in my SN the light comes on and we have tried hooking it up to 2 different TV's, both of them go to black screen but nothing else happens. We have tried cleaning the games and the console where they plug in but no luck.

It has been a few years since it was last used.

Any suggestions as what to do next would be appreciated.

I really want to play Yoshi.....
