slight water damage and now it won't turn on

I had my iPod in my gymbag when my leaky water bottle spilled a bit on it. At first it turned on but about an hour later it wouldn't and my computer doesn't recognize it; it's been sitting in a bag of rice for a few hours.

I would disassemble the iPod and clean the logicboard with isopropyl alcohol (>90%) and a soft paintbrush.

use the logic board guide and the tools mentioned in it to disassemble you iPod. cleand the "odd" (white/greenish residue) parts with alcohol and the brush.

let it dry and then reassemble it again.

the rice will help you get rid of the humidity - but it won't remove the conductive residue - so cleaning is the only reliable way to handle fluid damages
