Are replacement batteries charged?

Hi! first time posting here. I just bought a used MBP. The battery is dead, and there may be other issues as well, but my question is, if i were to buy a replacement battery from ifixit, will it come fully charged?

I'm wondering, so that way i can see if i can at least get it to boot, before buying the charger. I'm trying to get all the parts little by little, but i dont know if i'll need to buy the charger AND battery at once

Just request that it be fully charged for you before shipping. You can do that at this link:

Cant say whether or not it will come charged. I can tell you how to test it, the battery you have now and your charger. In order to do this you would need a Multimeter however. If you know anyone with one or if there is a repair shop near you you can have them quickly test your current battery and charger to see if they have power of if a current is running through it correctly. You could also pick a cheap one up if you wanted, an inexpensive one would server its purpose for this.

Does the charging light on the cord turn green or orange when plugged into the port?
