Trouble Shooting Booting new Hard Drive
Hello Everyone
My apologies if this is a reoccurring thread but I need answers ASAP
Basically stock HDD in my 2009 Macbook Pro died after a long 5 years. Just installed a New Western Digital 1TB HDD to replace the old drive.
Everything is going fine up until I try to reinstall Mavericks.
1) I have already mounted the new drive and have formatted through disc utility.
2) I have old drive hooked up externally
3) When I click on Reinstall Mavericks a dialog box comes up that reads *TO DOWNLOAD AND RESTORE OSX, YOUR COMPUTERS ELIGIBILITY WILL BE VERIFIED WITH APPLE*
4) I Click Continue
5) A fast load circle appears and then quickly another dialog box pops up reading *AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE PREPARING THE INSTALLATION. TRY RUNNING THIS APPLICATION AGAIN.*
6) I click OK and it bounces me back to the OSX recovery option box.
7) I click on Reinstall OSX and the whole process happens over and over again.
What's exactly happening here and what are my options? Anyone else experience this anomaly?!!
Is this a good question?
