Why am I unable to change my shooting mode?

The camera will turn on and operates fine in the shooting mode it is already in however I am unable to change the shooting mode even though I am turning the shooting mode dial.

when you dropped it you likely broke the cheap plastics inside that connect it and help change the modes...

try replacing with a new top cover off e-bay
