HP 650 Notebook display turns from black to white after power-on?

After powering on my HP 650 notebook the display shows the HP logo. Then the display gets black and slowly turns from black to white (or grey more or less).

See attached video:

Then the display stays something like black-white-checkered (this image shows it a little bit:

)

I can attach a external display via VGA connector. The picture on the external display is right.

So graphics card doesn't seem to be faulty.

Somebody told me that thsi problem maybe can be solved by changing a transistor or resistor or something like that. But couldn't find any evidence for that on Google :-(

Is this a good question?

Add an image showing us the complete screen and what it displays. From your description it sounds like a bad LCD driver circuitry

oh, I recognised, that the iFixit Media Manager didn't insert my video that I uploaded. Instead it choose some random image (first image in my posting).

I have a MP4 video showing the full screen and you can see how it looks when I power on the Notebook. But how can I post this video???

MausP, attach an external monitor and see if that will display properly. Right now your LCD does not get a signal, the white light is your backlight. This could be a GPU error or and LCD error. If an external monitor works, replace the LCD. If an external monitor does the same thing, you will need some motherboard work.
