My HTC Desire feels hot after extended use. Is this normal?

After using the phone for 15 minutes or longer, the phone starts to heat up. The same thing happens when the phone is charging. Is this safe, or is it an issue that should be addressed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

As long as the battery or any other charging components have not been replaced on the device, the heating of the phone over time is normal. If this is happening, however, it is important not to leave the device in cramped conditions as it may damage the device due to overheating. If the battery has been replaced, this may be the cause of overheating. Third party batteries can dangerously overheat, and it is highly suggested to replace it with one from the manufacturer.
