I have a problem where my Keyboard and trackpad become unresponsive. I had this fixed years ago but i fear its gone [or going] again. Can this be bought and replaced by me? If so, does anyone know which parts i need based on that description?
Does the ribbon come on its own or is it already attached to the keyboard and/or trackpad and all of it needs replacing?

I would just buy the entire top case on this model. It is almost nine years old, there is a good chance that everything is going bad and it would save the hassle involved.
But keep in mind X1600 GPU in there will probably be dead by the time you read this. :( If it hasn't died already.
