How do I access the lint filter in order to clean it?

kenneth Taggs, not sure about a lint filter for a washer. I hope you mean the drain pump filter for foreign objects. I would start by taking the lower front panel off. There are two bolts, one on each side of the panel, remove those. Once you have the panel removed, you will see a white plastic unit, that is your pump assembly. You should also see a round plug with a plastic tab across the front (number 14 in the explosion drawing). That is your coin trap. Open the cap by twisting it counterclockwise and remove it. It may just be clogged. Make sure that you have a large tub or something under it. there is a lot of water coming at you.
