What could be wrong with my screen backlight

Hey guys, my MBP screen will not light up, nor does the apple logo, or keyboard. When I press the power button, all that happens is the fan starts to spin slow then spins to the max, I hear no chime or anything else. Ive tried removing the battery, restarting the PRAM and everything else pretty much.. I dont' believe this is something that can be fixed by pressing some buttons.. is there anything you guys can think of that could be wrong? Im going to take it to a Apple Store soon but just wondering If there anything else simple I can try first? Thanks!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Some history (was it wet, dropped, crushed or power surged?) before this started happening would be helpful. Max fans generally mean bad/blown heat sensors. When certain sensors are out of spec the EFI runs the fans at Max in an attempt to keep you from cooking processors.

Black screen could point to your CPU/VGC being cooked. Connect to an external monitor... any video there? If not that's what it means. Normal video on external means it's strictly an on-board video chain problem (cable, controller or fuse)
