You can try a couple things:
If the second option tells you the drive is bad, try to repair it via disk utility, but if that doesn't work then you can get a new drive here.

Thanks fo the tips.
Performed all sugestions. The results was repair/verify could not be performed in Disk Utility.
Afterwards I connected a 3.5 drive USB and performed the following steps:
Used the Snow Leopard install disk to perform an install to the USB drive.
When the install was completed, I coppied all the data & software from my orignal drive to the USB drive.
When that process (that took 3 hours) was complete, I reformatted the original drive and used Disk Utility to perform repair. I also did a verify to confirm the drive no longer had errors.
I am presently performing a new Snow Leapord install to the original drive. When that completes, I will copy the data and software from the 3.5 USB drive to the original drive.
I will keep the 3.5 USB drive as a back up. It will be good to have another boot drive available to troubleshoot future errors.
Thanks again for the input.

Snow Leopard install failed.
Disk Utility revealed the drive has hardware problems that cannot be repaired. Therefore I will replace the hard drive.
