My display lid is damaged which Lids can I use?

Hi, My Macbook Air Early 2008 model has an Damaged Display lid. Several bends and scratches. As well the front part (The white plastic) comes off. My question is if I can use the Display lid from an 2013 model for my 2008 Model?

(Only the case not the Display).

Options

Sad to say you're between a rock & a hard place here. No the newer models are not quite the same.

Apple doesn't offer the display lid alone, only as a complete assembly: Display Clamshell - Glossy (661-4919), Matte (661-4919)

The rub here is't not easy to pull the display unit apart without messing things up. What you might do is look for a used one thats in good shape for about $60 US, a new one goes for around $165 US.
