disassembling iPod, what to fix first?

i've got some parts that replacing on my iPod.. the LCD screen and battery, and i went ahead and ordered a new front panel and clickwheel (both black, because my current iPod is white). now after disassembling, which should i replace/install first on the iPod.. and the in what order should i proceed?

if the new black front panel i bought is crappy then i probably won't install it. i might just install a black clickwheel onto the white iPod, that might be a neat effect.

any opinions on the matter?

use the battery guide (but in reverse order - you already disassembled your iPod ;-))

all of your new parts are handled in that guide

The display guide covers the lcd and the lcd, if you move your cursor over the pictures, you will see a text box on the top left side, click on "huge" and you will see the picture in a 1600x1200 resolution - i think that could help you with the connection problem
