How can I fix my phone that seems to have died completely?

I turned the sound off and about 11 hours later when i woke up, my phone was off. the phone will not turn on again and when i plug it in it still wont turn on. i have never had a problem with this phone and there were no problems of any sort befor this. i think it might be water damaged and would like to know if a day or so could dry it out and can it be fixed.
