would a 12.7 mm internal dvd drive fit?

Also, is it a SATA type connector?

I have an internal sony bluray player (with dvd writer) that's 12.7 mm thick, so i'm wondering if I could slap that baby in the new mac mini.

The Mac Mini Unibody is 9.5mm SATA and the old style one is 12.5mm IDE type drive.

They're easy to replace, but I need to know which one you have. 2011 and up doesn't have a DVD drive.

There's discussion about that going on here, and it's 12.5mm thick.

So, it's 9.5 or 12.5? The regular size on optical drives is 12.7 if I'm not mistaken. This is really confusing.
