Why can't I edit long contact note?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 running Android 4.4.2. I Sync with Outlook 365 Exchange server.

Here's the problem:

If I have a contact in Outlook where I entered notes that exceed 17 lines of information, I cannot add any new notes to the contact's note on my tablet. I can add to the the note on my desktop, and the edit updates on my tablet, however, if I try to add information to the note on the tablet, I cannot. The edit window on the tablet does not display the entire note, and therefore prevents me from adding any new information.

Is there a way to increase the space on the edit contact window on the tablet so I can view and continue to add notes to a contact?
