After doing some research, I found the answer to my own question. It looks like the ringer volume may be turned all the way down or silenced. Steps to fix this problem are found on the Kyocera Marbl K127 Troubleshooting Page.
Check your interruptions icon at the top of your phone and make sure it is set on ALL. Then your phone should ring. At least that's what happened to me.
Got it... I found the trick was as noted- Slide the screen down and hit the arrow to lower the option icons. interruptions is noted with a bell... Then remove the blocks. I was trying to silence facebook/direct message notes and it killed my ringer for all but a couple contacts who had special ringer.
Being cell phone dense, I prefer anything over an iPhone and the hysteria the phone ensues.
