Touch Display broken, Where can I get Replacements?

Hi,

The cover of my very new hp envy 17 Leap Motion Notebook was perforated, so that the touch display is broken. I can still use half of the screen including touch functionality, still I need to recover the display.

Now, I've seen a lot of howto videos and tipps about normal display replacements, but no advice for the replacment of touch displays. Also the IT Store in town were not really willing to help me.

Maybe someone out there can give me a hint:

- where can I find a touch screen replacement for the below described Notebook?

- of course any howto instructions (written or video) would be great

Still the same problem ...

does anybody know, if it's possible to replace the touchscreen display on this laptop by a regular LCD screen?

Pages 59-62 of the Maintenance and Service Guide provides instructions on replacing the display for your model.

Page 21 has the part numbers listed for the display. I recommend using the product number on your system in the HP Parts Surfer to get the specific details on whether you have an HD/FHD and/or AG/BV.

If your part is available on the Parts Surfer, you should be able to order it through the site. If it is not, you can try an HP Authorized Parts Partner.
