Can the screen be fixed when the bottom of it is unresponsive?

I replaced a touch screen on the iPod and all seemed ok. But soon the corner started to come up. I thought I could reheat it and try to seat it back down, but after I did it the bottom of the screen will not work. The keyboard is not able to switch to numbers. When you hit the numbers tab, it causes the shift key to activate. I only heated at the top of the screen, not the bottom.

You might have heated it too much so it destroyed the touch sensitive parts of the LCD screen. Do you have the old screen you can put back in to test it and see if it works? If it still works, then it's the new screen that needs to be replaced again.

Thank you for your answer. I actually did heat up more than I did even when I installed it because I wanted it to seat once and for all. I was hoping there could be a reset or something to try, but it sounds like it is hardware.
