iPhone display is white, help!?!

Brother dropped his iPhone the other day and shattered the front panel. Just replaced it with a new one that I purchased from you guys. Finished assembling it and went to turn it on but all I see is just a bright white screen. What's the problem?

This is a iPhone 3G, I double checked the connections after the first time I saw the white screen. I think the LCD screen is damaged and that's why I'm getting the white screen. After he dropped the phone and noticed the front panel was shattered I also noticed that the screen was all white.

Update

I fixed the problem, I needed a new LCD screen. The old one cracked when he dropped it. I put in a new one and it's better now.

thanks

I recently took my device to pieces, when the number 1 connector was loose my screen was white. I suspect this is your problem.

Remove the two philips screws in the bottom, use some sort of suction to lift the display out (Be careful to remove it from the bottom near the home button), lift it up gently and you will see three cables labelled 1, 2 and 3 at the top. I suspect the number 1 is loose, try to push it back down and then try your phone again! :)

Goodluck

try resetting it. press and hold together both power and home buttons for about 10 seconds or until it turns itself of, then turn it on again. if this does not help, try to open it up again and check the connectors. they are really hard to fit...
