Which RAM is Apple building in?

Hi guys,

I'm interested in buying an retina iMac. I can't find out which RAM Apple is building in. Since you guys did a teardown, could you help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I wasn't specific enough. Do you know which RAM exactly? Is it Samsungs RAM or Hynix like in previous versions of the iMac?

Apple buys so much memory it can't get memory from just one vendor. So you will likely see either one of these manufactures. I guess the question here is why does it matter? As long as the modules you are getting meet or exceed the specs it will work (exceeding the specs in this context is speed only - RAS & CAS)
