Is it upgraded or not?

hi, my imac from what I can tell is a regular 2006 imac but when I look in ABOUT IMAC for the info, at the top of the info box it says : person's name imac G5 and further on down in software extension it says yes to having 64 bit. this computer was given to me by a relative but he cant remember if he's father in law ever upgraded it. how can I tell for sure if it has or not.

Start off by giving us the computers serial number. that will allow us to properly identify the hardware and subsequently the software.

If you're asking is it Intel - it's not.

The PowerPC 970 "G5" has 64-bit data paths and registers with native support for 32-bit application code. It additionally includes the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processor and "two independent double-precision floating-point units".
