Computer not turning on, No water damage.

Hello,

So I woke up one morning and turned on my A1342 mid 2010 macbook unibody and it wasnt booting up, plug it into the charger and got nothing. Thinking it was battery problem since I was having battery problems with my non-apple battery, I ordered a fresh new apple battery and installed still nothing. I reset the smc, and pram, and tried all the other methods a gazillion times and nothing worked. Thinking it was the dc magsafe port problem i replaced still nothing. all I get is a faint green light on the charger and nothing else. Now what would be my next step? I know i didnt damage anything the only thing that could have happened was that the computer battery was drained to zero (but i replaced that already...)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Some of the newer machines will not boot unless/until the battery has a 10-20% charge. How charged was the battery when you tried to boot?

You say you didn't damage anything but is the keyboard ribbon connector (the one that caries the power on button) properly and completely connected (snapped down)?

Most often reassembly boot issues turn out to be faulty/bad/missing connectors.

Have you done a Safe (Shift) boot or a Repar or Dianose boot.? Your crash mid boot may have corrupted your boot volume.

If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.

Yeah I made sure the keyboard was connected and tried charging it overnight then booting it up still did not turn on. No I haven't done those yet (I assume you press shift, R, or D as you press the power button to boot it up in those modes) I'll try and report back. thanks.
