How to replace MacBook White Early 2009 Enter Key

Hi,

I've found a guide to replace Macbook White Keyboard. But the key used in the guide is the "Z" key. I have my Macbook White "Enter" key detached accidentally and want to fix it myself.

The "Enter" key seems has a different hook from the "Z" key so it suppose to has a different way to replace it.

Can you help me fix this problem?

Thanks.

Frankie

Yes - it's slightly different.

Examine it the current one closely as you remove (lift it off) there are alignment pins that must go back into the guides (arms/holes) as you insert the new key-plate. If your new key has the key-plate you can see what I'm talking about. If the replacement key-plate is missing the metal guide the old one will snap out and into the replacement.

If you mug it up it won't sit level or pop up/down, just have another go at it. It takes real effort to damage the replacement key.

If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
