I recently acquired an 80G - Model1238 iPod & when I went to insert either headphones or A/V adapter chord, it doesn't go all the way in. It stops a few millimeters short. It does play, but I don't know why it doesn't completely encompass the male end. Thanks for any help.

I'm looking at the iPod in front of me, and from the back a few millimeters stick out because the back edge of the iPod is curved. If you're looking at it from the back, I would say that's why.
