Possible or not using a standard PCIe SSD?

Hi,

idea is buy a Mini with only HDD and install later a standard PCIe SSD (Crucial for example)

Have you planned to design an adapter from PCIe Apple connector to standard PCIe SSD ?

No adapters, proprietary means - impossible to find. If you want the SSD buy it as OEM.

Can anyone confirm that this part number will fit: 821-1506-B

It looks like it is the same.

Did you look at the tear-down? "However, this empty socket over here may well be a spot for a PCIe cable, enabling the installation of a blade SSD."

More on this once we get our hands on a Fusion-equipped Mac Mini.

Yes I did, but I was wondering as that part i wrote will work to install a PCIe SSD?

OWC did a tear down a mini with the fusion drive and there is in fact a PCIe SSD on the top of the drive sled, with the HD underneath
