Replaced the battery as described, but still not working

Hi community,

I've replaced the battery as described (worked very well) but still I cannot turn the iPhone on. The switch seems to work (if I connect the phone to the charger or to the laptop) but it seems, that the battery won't get charged.

I always get a prompt to restore a firmware image but I cannot restore the image. Doing so will always fail (during the first reboot after preparation) with error 21 (unknown error).

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your feedback - best regards...

Install a battery with charge on it see does the iPhone boot

Then when it boots see does the % increase if it doesn't then a dock replacement is needed

Sometimes a faulty dock will say it's charhing when it's not even

Hi,

thanks for your answer, how can I replace a "charged" battery or - asking another way - how can I charge the battery without an iPhone attached to it ;)

Unfortunately the iPhone is in a "unrecognized" state which means I am not sure which firmware (or even if a firmware) is running. I cannot "repair" the iphone without being sure, that the battery is "full".

Any ideas?

Ok if you have a friend with a iPhone 4s and it's got battery life take the battery out of it and install in yours .. Simple

Hi,

would be even easier if I had a friend using this "old" phone anymore. I don't know whether the battery has any battery protection circuit or anything like that, than I'd just attach it to my LiIon charger - I "could" do that if anyone could point out the pinnig of the connector. If the charging logic is not within the battery itself this could just blow up the battery... bad idea...

I wonder whether I could charge the battery inside a iPhone 4?

Any other ideas?

Thanks and best regards,

Sven
