Why have one of my Bio-Wheels stopped spinning?
I went to clean my fish tank filter media today and noticed one of my Bio-Wheels have stopped spinning. Its been about a month since I've done any cleaning or water changes.
Is this a good question?

The Bio-Wheel has most likely stopped spinning due to build up of biological waste on the pins. Simply shut off the filter, remove the Bio-Wheels and use a napkin to clean the pins on the Bio-Wheels (or a cloth or your fingers). Next, use the provided pipe cleaner to clean the inserts in which those pins rest. This should free up the stuck Bio-Wheel. If this doesn't work, you may need a new Bio-Wheel which can be found at: http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Power-Filt.... Note: Make sure to keep any tap water off of the Bio-Wheel. Treatment in tap water can kill the beneficial bacteria thriving on the Bio-Wheel.
