Why won't my trimmer advance line?

I bump the trimmer head and line will not come out.

The most common cause of this problem is your cutting head is tangled with grass. Turn the engine off and ensure there is no grass tangled around your cutting head. If your unit is now free of tangled grass check to make sure your cutting head has line on it. It is possible you have used all your line or the line is too short to use. If this is the case, refill the cutting head with line. The next possible cause is a bound or twisted wire inside the cutting head. Ensure this is not the case, and if it is remove and rewind the line.
