Charging/ home button Problems after cell antenna replacement

My phone got wet and everything worked fine except for cellular service, so it was pretty useless unless on wifi.

That to me, meant I needed to replace the cellular antenna. Because that was the only thing not functioning.

Ordered the part, everything went smoothly, until I turned my phone back on.

First off, still no cell service. Then I noticed my home button no longer functioned. So I had to reboot every time I wanted to go back on my phone.

I was prepared to deal with that, but my battery dwindled, I plugged it into the charger annnnnnd no charge. So now my phone is dead and won't charge to turn on.

My only thinking is that I used a bit too much isopropyl alcohol when cleaning some of the connectors in the phone. I used a q-tip and just dabbed a little, not like I poured rubbing alcohol on everything. But shouldn't it have just evaporated anyway?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would check that the dock connector is plugged in correctly on the motherboard as the dock also controls the home button..

If it is connected probably and still nothing then you have most likely damaged it and need a replacement dock
