Hello, My daughter smashed the screen on her iPad mini, now it still works but the cracks prevent correct viewing. Do I need to buy the front glass or the display behind that. I am a bit confused when ordering these parts. As I said the display still works.

What model iPad mini is it?
Model number is on rear case it starts with A1

No you don't need the lcd if your saying the picture works fine
Great, I can buy a front display for around $12, would that work or do I need to get more pricier display.
you need the home button ic pre installed as it needs soldered in if the cheaper screen comes without it
