My HTC M8 won't auto rotate how can I fix this?

I dropped my device and now when I try to turn it into landscape, it won't rotate.

I am having the same issue and I haven't dropped my phone. My motion sensor stopped working on the lock screen as well.

Sounds like a calibration problem. You can re-calibrate the phone by going into settings. Then select "display and gestures" and choose "G-sensor Calibration". Make sure its on a flat surface, though, so it calibrates properly.

I have the same problem, when i used your method it helped. Though when i want to move from horizontal mode to vertical mode ot just wont work. Any suggestions?
