Touch screen unresponsive bought in US so no warranty here in europe

I have had my 173X memopad HD 7 for 10 months now and loved it , however the touch screen started playing us Eg,,, on scrabble i couldn't choose the letter i wanted for the blank tile it would choose the top or bottom or side letter but not the one i wanted , it also started to take screenshots just keep taking them .I have checked the inside and it looks fine , unless it needs a part that has gone faulty , has anyone else had this problem and if so how to you fix it , please let me know i need help i don't want to have to buy another one , i would be very grateful if anyone could help .
