I think you'll need to give us a better clue on what got on or into your MacBook.

If you spilled a soda, coffee, tea milk or juice into the system you'll need to wipe off and much as you can and tip the system on its side to the direction what spilled has the shortest path to an edge. You'll also need to remove the battery and power ASAP as you don't want short out anything if you can help it.

OK, you know some got inside You'll need to open the system up, if you can't get to it right away put your system into a cool dry place. If you can put it into a plastic bag squeezing out as much air as you can and put your system into the refrigerator.

As you gather your tools, you'll need some distilled water & high grade Isopropyl alcohol (85% or better). The distilled water to wash away the surgery stuff and the Isopropyl alcohol to dry it out. Get some cotton swabs (Q-Tips) and paper towels and you may want a few containers to place the parts into to wash them.
