My battery will not charge
i replaced my battery with a new one. However it still will not charge. I am told I need a charging port.

Yeah, all the parts relating to charging are battery, charging port and motherboard. If you failed one, should try the next.

How?
The wireless charging case for this phone has gotten inexpensive. I lost my micro usb port capability almost a year ago, I have been using the phone since with no problems via Bluetooth/WIFI and Wireless charging and have not notices any less convenience or issues. I have even taken it diving and used it as a monitor and remote for a sports camera.
Go wireless charging it is simple and cheap.

I got a wireless charger and it does not charge, either. Phone will charge, intermittently, but only when plugged in to a computer USB port, not an electric wall or car adapter. : /
