Why is the touchscreen unresponsive?

There are no cracks on the screen but the touch screen is not working. What could be the problem?

Can you give a little history on your device? Did it suddenly stop working? Did you replace any parts recently?

machine about 6 months old and suddenly stop responding to touch. It continues to work with keyboard and mousepad

Options

The connector to the touch screen might be loose, try opening it up to check. Alternatively, you need a New screen
