My power button won't work

Two weeks ago some contact solution got into the back of my lucid cell, i didn't notice it till an hour or two later. I dried it and had it soak in rice for 12 hours. It worked fine the next day except for the power button. I can unlock my phone by plugging it in and the screen lights up or if i get a call but not if i press the power button on the side. I was able to get lucky sometimes and the button would work but i could never do it twice in a row. Now my phone has shut off and i can't turn it back on by pressing the power button even thought the battery progress shows up. What should i do? how do i fix this?
