Nathan Jansen, start by checking the AC adapter. Use a multimeter and ensure that you have the proper output. If you do, check the DC adapter on your laptop. Make sure that it is properly connected and that you have current going to the board. If you do and it still does not come on, check the power switch flex and make sure that it is working properly.

This may be caused by a bad power supply. The AC adapter may need to be tested for defectiveness. The output and DC adapter may also need to be checked.
