PRAM Battery

Hi

I canĀ“t find my pram battery on my macbook logic board 820-2279-a.

iFixit doesn't show my particular Logic board.

If someone could post a picture I'd really appreciate it.

Best Regards

It would help a lot if you specify which Macbook you specifically have. Check out our ID Your Mac page for steps on how to figure this out. Just the logic board # doesn't help very much.

Use this guide for your PRAM. Apple moved the PRAM from under the logic board (where it was in Core Duo and Core 2 Duo) to near the right speaker (where it is in Santa Rosa, Penryn, and Early/Mid 2009). There is as cutout in these cases for the new location of the PRAM.

Looking at the guide for the MacBook Core 2 Duo (which is the early 2009 unit) it states in bold print the PRAM battery for that unit is not replaceable. Ralph

The PRAM Battery in the Early 2009 Macbook is underneath the Optical drive, in between the Right Speaker assembly and the Bluetooth board. This placement was new for Early 2009.
